From now until March 14, 2022, Vietnam will continue to welcome international visitors according to phase 2 of the pilot program, with some adjustments to facilitate visitors. Travelers can leave their first destination after 3 days, if they meet the conditions.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a pilot document to welcome international tourists from March 2 to March 14, 2022. During this period, Vietnam expanded the scope of welcoming international tourists instead of just some initial localities such as Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ninh…; At the same time, tourists can leave the first destination after 3 days, if they meet the conditions.
Other special note for traveling to Vietnam in phase 2, the country welcomes tourists through regular international charter or commercial flights. Localities, based on local needs and safety conditions for COVID-19 prevention and control, proactively decide to welcome international tourists and notify the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .
Travelers must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method) within 72 hours prior to departure and be tested by the competent authority of the country performing the test. certification (except for children under 2 years old); have medical or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum liability of $20,000 and certain other conditions.
Notes for Traveling to Vietnam Before Mar 15, 2022- Need to Be With A Travel Agency
If you have had a full dose of vaccine or have recovered from COVID-19, you will join a tour program of a travel agency with a period of at least 3 days from the date of entry. After receiving a negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 on day 3, the traveler may continue to participate in the travel program under the registered travel program (where the program is longer 03 days); participate in tour programs and use local services that allow international tourists to be welcomed.
For tourists (accompanied by parents, guardians) who have not been vaccinated or have not had enough doses of COVID-19 vaccine, must join the tour program of the travel agency within the first 7 days from the date of entry. . RT-PCR testing on day 3 and day 7. After receiving negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 on day 7, travelers can continue to participate travel program according to the registered travel program (in case the program is longer than 7 days); or participate in travel programs and use local services that allow international tourists.
Last notes for traveling to Vietnam before 15 Mar 2022: Tourists can also return to localities according to their places of residence and visit registered relatives. Tourists must have a written registration with the travel agency to notify the local authorities of the destination to coordinate health monitoring and management according to regulations.
